Service Description

Two days snowshoeing in the fantastic scenery of Alpe Devero, a true gem of the Alps, amidst fairytale landscapes, wonderful mountain villages and wild peaks that dominate the protected area of ​​the eponymous natural park. Together we will explore this beautiful territory and share the emotions it will surely offer us. DETAILED PROGRAM Day 1: Pizzo Troggi and Rifugio Castiglioni Arrival by car at the Alpe and, after putting on our snowshoes and completing the necessary safety checks, we begin our ascent, which will take us through some of the most beautiful corners of the valley, between forests and open spaces, until we reach the summit of Pizzo Troggi. From there we can admire a breathtaking panorama of the Alpe basin, the lakes of Agaro and Devero and the many surrounding peaks. During the descent we will visit Alpe Sangiatto, with its small lakes, before reaching the beautiful Rifugio Castiglioni, our stop for the day, where we can enjoy well-deserved relaxation. Packed lunch Dinner and overnight stay in the refuge Difficulty: WT2 Elevation gain: 700 D+ Distance: approximately 11 km Day 2: Monte Cazzola After a delicious breakfast in the refuge, we set off for the second day of exploration of the Alpe! This time we will head in the opposite direction to the previous day, exploring the southern part. After crossing the beautiful village, we will climb through a larch forest, flanking the Rio Misanco, until we emerge onto the gentle slope that leads to the summit of Monte Cazzola. From the summit the view is truly fantastic and spans the entire Alpe Devero and the surrounding peaks, up to Monte Leone. Packed lunch Difficulty: WT2 Elevation gain: 700 m+ Distance: approximately 10 km The itineraries are subject to verification of snowpack stability conditions. The price includes: - VAT - Accompaniment by a Professional Guide - Planning and management of the excursion - Training on correct progression using snowshoes and poles - Information on the flora, fauna and geology of the surrounding environment - Demonstration of the use of avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe - Accident insurance for clients - Insurance in case of rescue - Satellite messaging in case of emergency.
