About the event
A 4-day trek around Zinal, a town in the Canton of Valais surrounded by several 4000m peaks in the Alps. We will be able to admire beautiful Alpine valleys, fantastic glacial cirques and stupendous peaks over 4000m, among which the majestic Weisshorn (4505m) stands out.
DETAILED PLAN:
Day 1 | Zinal - Cabane du Montet
Once in Zinal, we park the cars and the trek begins! You cross the Plats de la Lé and then enter the valley of the Zinal Glacier, skirting it on the left, until you reach our stage point for the day: the Cabane du Montet (2886 m). In front of us an incredible glacial amphitheater stretches out, dominated by the peaks of Dent Blanche (4357m), Obel Gabelhorn (4063m) and Zinalrothorn (4221m). The refuge will welcome us for a well-deserved beer, relaxation and a typical dinner. Overnight in the refuge.

Day 2 | Cabane du Montet - Cabane Arpitettaz
After a good breakfast in the refuge, we set off towards our second destination. We retrace the valley of the glacier and then go up the valley of the Arpitetta torrent, until we reach the Cabane Arpitettaz (2786m), at the foot of the imposing W face of the Weisshorn (4505m). The view is fantastic and includes, in addition to the Weisshorn, another cirque with numerous peaks over 3000m and the N face of the Zinalrothorn (4221m). Relax, dinner and overnight in a refuge.

Day 3 | Cabane Arpitettaz - Cabane de Tracuit
A little shorter stage but characterized by high altitude. From Cabane Arpitettaz go up to Col de Milon (2975 m) to descend into the valley of the Barmé stream. Go up the valley until you reach the stage point of the day: the Cabane de Tracuit, located at an impressive 3259m! It goes without saying that the view from the refuge is fantastic and includes many 3000m peaks, the Weisshorn (4505m) and the Bishorn (4151m)! Relax, dinner and overnight in a refuge.

Day 4 | Cabane de Tracuit - Zinal
Last day dedicated to the descent towards Zinal, always along the valley of the Barmé stream and enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscape. We will reach Zinal in the afternoon to pick up our vehicles and return home.

Cost: €490 (minimum 3 participants). Registration will be considered completed upon payment of the deposit of € 250.
It is possible to repeat the event even on non-calendar dates, at the request of the customer.
The fee includes:
- Professional Guide
- trekking planning and management
- half board in refuge
- City tax
- customer accident insurance
- use of satellite messaging in case of emergency
The fee does not include:
- transportation fee
- packed lunches prepared by the refuges (the guide's lunches must be divided among the participants)
- alcoholic beverages and soft drinks
- personal expenses
- anything not expressly indicated under "the price includes"
Meeting point: 9:00 in Zinal (CH). (Possibility to make arrangements to share the car trip).
The customer must show up at the meeting point or starting point excursion at the time indicated in the communication that will follow after registration. At the end of the registration the customer will be added to a temporary whatsapp group which will be used for service communications, updates and useful information for the excursion.
Mandatory material
Boots or boots, no sneakers;
Hiking backpack with a minimum capacity of 30 l with wide shoulder straps, ergonomic backrest and waist belt for weight distribution;
Clothing in relation to the altitude and the weather, in any case it is always advisable to dress in layers and with long trousers;
Rain jacket;
Down filled comforter;
Gloves and cap;
Compulsory water reserve of one and a half liters minimum, recommended to have mineral salts and/or supplements;
Sheet bag for sleeping in the refuge;
Headlamp;
Food to your taste and liking.
What you could add to your backpack:
Spare parts for t-shirts, socks and underwear;
A small microfiber towel;
Personal hygiene kit;
First aid kit with plasters for blisters;
Personal glass;
