Huayhuash High Route Trekking

The Huayhuash Cordillera is the most important in the region together with the spectacular Nevado Yerupjà (6634m), the second highest mountain in Peru. In its 30 km there are six peaks that exceed 6000m in height. Getting to know Huayhuash means admiring the Siulà Grande (6344m), the mythical mountain of the Peruvian Andes, it means walking to the origins of the Marañón, an important tributary of the Amazon River, it means experiencing sensations of solitude among lagoons and passes that reach 5000m, as in the scenario described in the book and film "Dead Death" by Joe Simpson.
